Kitchen Before

The original 1960s kitchen had been slightly
modified in the late 90s but the cabinetry, flooring,
lighting and counter tops were in dire need of
updating

Kitchen After

With the addition of ceramic tile flooring, recessed
lighting overhead as well as pendant lighting over
the bar and undercabinet lighting beneath the
upper cabinets, ceiling fan in the dining area, new
paint, new window treatments and upgraded
support columns for the bar, this property began
to take on the look and feel of a home with a much
higher asking price.

Living Room

A smallish living room was also the entry for the
home.  In placing the sofa in a position which
faced the rear wall of the living room, it created a
separate entry area for the home.  With the
addition of recessed lighting which could be
switched separately for the entry and the living
area, the illusion of an entry way was complete.
By using a limited number of pieces of furniture
the size of the room itself seemed to expand.

Bathrooms

The home had three bathrooms.  The central
bathroom had been updated but the master bath
retained its pink tile and fixtures from the 60s.  The
third bathroom had been added in the late 90s and
was not in need of updating.  The master bath was
updated through the removal of the old tile and
fixtures and the addition of upgraded, high end
fixtures, neutral colored ceramic floor tile, nickel
three light fixture and a neutral wall color.  A
chocolate vanity housed the European sink and
nickel faucet and with the addition of a simple
window treatment the bathroom was brought into
the 21st century.  Coordinating the remaining
bathrooms through a simple palette, the house
flowed easily from public to private spaces

Through maintaining
an open passageway
from the living room into
the hallway, the flow
from the kitchen to the
living room to the hall-
way and into the private
areas of the home
created a flow and
sense of spaciousness
which caused the home
to look and feel larger.

The Master Bedroom

The master bedroom already had hardwood
flooring and a chair rail which offered a bit of
architectural detail.  The walls were painted a soft
neutral sand, then accented with custom bedding
and window treatments in red and sage.  Wood
accents in chocolate and warm teak rounded out
the color palette.  Full length curtains with a
broad  patterned header which coordinated with
the pillow shams and accent pillows.  A large
featured art piece over the bed is augmented with
natural art pieces and candles to present an
environment which is welcoming to any buyer.

       A Classic Masculine Master Bedroom

Large scale pieces and rich browns and blues
define the color scheme of this master bedroom.
Massive posts support a tall, broad upholstered
headboard covered in a brown pinstripe.  Rich
velvets and houndstooth plaid provide a
sumptuous contrast to the soft cool blue of the
duvet.
Illuminated capitals add balance and drama to the
massive columns on each side of the bed.
Real Estate Staging

Intuitive Design adds Real Estate staging to its list of services
Real Estate staging consists of preparing a property for resale in such a way that its best
features are highlighted while giving the potential buyer the impression that the home is
move in ready.  This allows the seller to garner top dollar for what may have been a mediocre
property.  See the photos below for the most recently staged property
