Master Bedroom

The master bedroom was simply a
white box with furniture.  The
homeowners' request was for a space
which recreated the luxury hotel rooms
they had enjoyed in a favorite resort in
Jamaica.
A concept was developed and renderings submitted for the homeowners' approval.
Fabric was selected and approved for use as a custom headboard.  A canopy was
designed and fabricated to the dimensions of the space.  Sheer cotton curtains
were placed around the edge of the canopy and curtain rods were fabricated to fit
within the frame of the canopy, thus concealing them from view.  A natural cotton
was selected to cover the framework of the canopy and to create a cloud-like feel
from the bed itself
Master Bedroom Suite on a Budget
The Master Bedroom of a late 80s home
lacked interest and detail and was in need of
a dramatic change.  The homeowner was
interested in a look which was simple and
relaxed without fussiness, but the project
needed to be completed on a restrained
budget.

With cool green walls and a simple matching embroidered bedding ensemble, the master bedroom
took on the easy feel of a luxury resort and a place to relax and recharge for the homeowner.  Tropical
details and well placed candles, new lighting and artwork achieved the homeowner's vision well
within the prescribed budget.

Cathedral ceilings and lots of space, but no interest......best describes this Master
bedroom which needed color and classical elements to create an environment that
is both welcoming and dramatic.
The walls were painted a soothing palomino with the back wall painted an eye-catching accent color of a bright
russet red.  Bedding was chosen in an intricate paisley of gold and brick.  Custom window treatments were
created utilizing cornice pieces in coordinating fabrics and chocolate curtains in a lightweight fabric.

To complete the look, Tuscan artwork was added to the walls beside
the Palladian window and above the bed.  Coordinating pillows in
chocolate, ivory and russet which matched the window treatments
were added to the bedding.  An ornate chocolate cast lamp was added
to the side table to fully develop the classic look.
